Aaron has over 19 years of combined experience in the electrical construction industry as a journeyman  electrician and as a draftsman/coordinator. As an electrician, he worked in all facets of the trade including new construction, tenant fit out, warranty and service work. As a draftsman/coordinator he has worked on many different projects from hotels, convention centers, hospitals, industrial and higher education facilities and elementary, middle and high schools and sporting arenas/stadiums. In addition to his strong knowledge of the electrical industry and electrical modeling, he has worked over the past four years on many different plumbing and mechanical piping projects as well.

I obtained my master’s degree in civil engineering in 2004 and subsequently passed the EIT (FE) test. I worked as a software engineer for a few years before switching to Mechanical Engineering. I have 12 years of experience in industrial equipment design, applied engineering, Lean principles, and proficiency in various 3D CAD packages. 

These days, my career has shifted towards BIM and I primarily work with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. We assist trades and general contractors in implementing optimal BIM practices and resolving construction conflicts in a 3D environment, which leads to reduced rework, revisions, and waste of money at every stage of the project. 

I consider myself open-minded, detail-oriented, honest, optimistic, and fortunate. I enjoy staying active and participating in activities such as skiing, biking, surfing, playing volleyball/basketball, building things with my children, or spending time with my dogs.
